Botswana arrives at the 75th Miss Universe with one of the most experienced and internationally tested delegates in the entire field. Representing the country in San Juan, Puerto Rico is Dabilo Moses – a 26-year-old broadcasting and journalism graduate from Maitengwe whose pageant journey has taken her from Botswana to Poland and now to Puerto Rico.
Dabilo Moses was born in Tutume and raised in Gaborone, Botswana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Broadcasting and Journalism from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Gaborone, which she completed between 2019 and 2023.
Her pageant resume is one of the most decorated in Botswana’s history. She competed at Miss Botswana 2021, reaching the Top 16, before winning Miss Independence Botswana 2022. In 2023, she made history as the first woman from Botswana to compete at Miss Supranational, representing her country in Nowy Sącz, Poland, where she finished in the Top 24 among 65 contestants – the same edition won by Pageanthology’s own Supreme Queen 2023, Ecuador’s Andrea Aguilera.
Her path to Miss Universe 2026 was unconventional. Moses competed at Miss Universe Botswana 2025, finishing as 1st Runner-Up to Lillian Andries. When Andries was stripped of her title, Moses was directly appointed as Miss Universe Botswana 2026 by the organization under a new format requiring titleholders to reign for at least 10 months before competing internationally – giving her an extended preparation window heading into Puerto Rico.
The Miss Universe Botswana organization described her selection clearly: “Miss Universe Botswana is more than a beauty pageant. It situates beauty and ambition as a force for national impact and a platform to advance Botswana’s commercial ambitions globally. Dabilo Moses fits the bill.”

Dabilo Moses is one of the most intriguing delegates heading into Miss Universe 2026. Her international experience at Miss Supranational 2023, combined with her broadcasting background and extended preparation time, gives her a real edge over many first-time international competitors. Botswana has produced strong Miss Universe performances in recent years and Dabilo has the tools to continue that trend. A genuine dark horse heading into November.
