The road to Vietnam begins now. With Miss World 2026 just weeks away, Pageanthology is releasing our Pre-Arrival Top 20 — our assessment of the delegates best positioned to make an impact when the competition kicks off in Nha Trang.
This list was built on everything available to us before the delegates set foot on Vietnamese soil — national pageant performances, personal profiles, Beauty With a Purpose platforms, pageant history, and the overall strength of each country’s track record at Miss World. As always, this list will evolve as arrivals unfold and the competition takes shape. Our list follows the format of 5 countries from each specific region/continent.
Here is where things stand before a single delegate has arrived:
1. Brazil 🇧🇷
Brazil opens our Pre-Arrival Top 20 at the summit. Gabriela Botelho arrives carrying one of pageantry’s most powerful national legacies – a country that has produced Miss World runners-up and consistently fields complete, competitive delegates. Brazil is always dangerous at Miss World and this edition is no different.
2. Vietnam 🇻🇳
The host country representative is no underdog. Lê Nguyễn Bảo Ngọc — winner of Miss Intercontinental 2022, standing 1.86m tall, with an IELTS score of 8.0 and an honours degree in Business Administration — arrives on home soil with every advantage. The crowd, the judges’ attention, and an exceptional personal profile all point to a historic run for Vietnam.
3. France 🇫🇷
Indira Ampiot is one of the most talked-about delegates in this entire field. Her combination of beauty, cultural background, and intelligence makes France one of the clearest frontrunners heading into Vietnam. Miss World has historically rewarded France well and Indira is their strongest entry in years.
4. Botswana 🇧🇼
Botswana has been quietly building one of the most impressive Miss World resumes on the African continent and their 2026 delegate arrives as one of the most anticipated representatives in this edition. A consistent, serious contender.
5. Malaysia 🇲🇾
Malaysia completes our top five as one of Southeast Asia’s most compelling delegates heading into the host region. With Vietnam hosting, Southeast Asian representation carries extra weight — and Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty arrives with the profile to capitalise on that momentum.
